Project Manager

Job Summary:

The Digital Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful launch of assigned website deployment projects of various types and complexity levels. This role is responsible for managing scope, timelines, budget, client relationships and overall project success. This includes but is not limited to creating schedules, managing team resources in a matrixed environment, writing documentation as well as developing standards and best practices. Must be a self-starter with the vision and passion to get the job done in a fast-moving and sometimes complex environment.

Core Job Functions:

  • Set up, monitor and manage several projects with various levels of complexity, cost, time constraints, internal and external staffing, and multiple software systems from start through completion
  • Understand and interpret our organization’s deployment process and ensure it is applied
  • Coordinate and actively participate in all stages of project development including research, design, development, training, testing and implementation
  • Work well under pressure to solve tough problems across multiple stakeholders and maintain a calm, positive appearance in communications
  • Ensure projects are delivered accurately, on-time, within budget and have the ability to react positively to changing demands and deadlines
  • Provide accurate scope and cost estimates to clients if/when a project deviates from agreed-upon budget
  • Liaise directly between clients and the design team to interpret/understand the build specification, ensuring that the build specification is understood by all parties and clarify where there is ambiguity
  • Creatively leverage team resources for maximum utilization and project efficiency
  • Proactively inform upper management of any issues or delays related to projects
  • Effectively present and communicate information
  • Stay up to date with web/design trends and development processes, pursue professional development through attendance at meetings, professional seminars and conferences
  • Produce timely weekly and monthly project reports in accordance with the company’s standards
  • Travel: Occasional project assignments require travel within the US, Canada & Mexico
  • Identify and manage ad-hoc projects based on problems, trends and new technology

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in managing successful large-scale website deployments and a strong understanding of web design/development technologies, third-party applications and platforms
  • 3+ years related experience in an in-house role, within consulting or a digital marketing or integrated agency
  • Passion for making your customers successful
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail ensuring quality standards are met
  • Certification(s) in project management (such as PMP Certification)
  • Worked in a client-facing role where you successfully translated client objectives into project goals and assignments for design and development teams
  • Managed schedules, budgets, assets, and overall project organization to ensure requirements and project deliverable dates were clearly communicated, understood, and executed upon
  • Consistently managed client expectations to ensure delivery of the highest quality service and product
  • Familiar with CMS-driven websites
  • Utilized project management software for internal and client-facing schedules and overall project communication
  • Flexibility to make process changes when warranted as well as accept constructive feedback
  • Proven ability to work well across organizational departments, including software development, design, sales, account management, and technical support
