October 15, 2021—Glastonbury, CT—Finalsite, a global leader in school website and digital communications tools, announced it has named Dele Shell as chief people officer, effective October 18, 2021. 

In this role, Shell will oversee all aspects of human resources, including talent management, recruitment, employee relations, and organizational development. She will also play a key role in elevating company culture and engagement as Finalsite continues to grow its worldwide, remote workforce.

Shell is a seasoned human resources leader, with a history of success leading people operations for corporations. Prior to joining Finalsite, she was the director of human resources for Hanwha Aerospace, USA. Among her many accomplishments in this role, she successfully redeveloped the company’s new hire onboarding experience, and also designed its succession planning program. Shell previously held the role of senior manager of human resources for HarcoSemco, a large aerospace manufacturing company in Branford, CT with operations in Nogales, Mexico. Additionally, she has held human resources roles with Home Depot and Harbor Freight Tools.

Shell received her undergraduate degree from Eastern Connecticut State University and is currently enrolled in Lasell University’s MBA Program. A native of Providence, Rhode Island, she graduated from East Hartford High School where she played volleyball and ran track. Education has always been important to Dele: she is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and seeks to mentor and inspire young women, particularly girls of color. She lives in New Britain, CT with her family.

In 2021, Finalsite’s team grew by nearly 40 percent due to sustained organizational growth and the acquisitions of SchoolAdmin and SchoolPointe.
