Billing: Ability to Hide Inactive Billing Accounts on the Accounts page!

Schools with our Billing Module can now hide and filter on inactive billing accounts on the Accounts page. Previously on this page, all accounts would display, even the ones for families that were no longer at the school. Inactive accounts are a way to manage the list on the Accounts page so that only relevant accounts are displayed.

Important Notes:

How are accounts inactivated?

  • Automatic: The account will automatically become inactive if it meets certain criteria. Please refer to the help article linked further down for the criteria list.

  • Manual: You can also manually inactivate accounts from the Accounts page as long as they have a $0 balance.

How do they become active again?

  • Inactive accounts will automatically become active again if there is any activity on the ledger (payment/charge/credit) or, if the account is marked active manually by you on the Accounts page.

Filter Options: 

  • A filter option has been added so that the Accounts page can be filtered to show active or inactive accounts.

Does this affect anything else? 

  • No, this update only affects the Accounts List page. No other report or ledger is affected by this update.
