Enrollment Software Update: February 3, 2026
Anna Karadzhova
Security and Privacy are the name of the game for Finalsite Enrollment in early 2026! We’ve improved how tracking codes are added to specific pages and updated our Lockout Policy. When it comes to privacy, we’re rolling out an update to comply with data laws in Kentucky and Oklahoma, requiring parents to have full visibility of all school communications sent directly to their children - now any parent or guardian can view emails and text messages sent to their students within the Parent Portal.
What's New
- Student Communications now visible to parents: This optional feature satisfied legal requirements in the states of Kentucky and Oklahoma, but can be used by any school as needed. This will allow parents to view all communications (emails, texts) sent to their children. Copies of emails and texts will be available in the Parent Portal within the student’s Checklist page.
- Custom HTML: Tracking codes can be added to a Custom HTML library, after which they can be inserted into specific Web Templates as merge tokens. This allows you to review & manage all custom HTML snippets at a glance. For site-wide custom html, you can use the Custom Scripts field located in the Parent Portal Content page.
- Note: Current tracking codes added within hidden form fields will still work. If they must be updated, the new process should be followed as the form won’t be saveable if any changes are made.
- Security update to Lockout Policy: We have changed our lockout to 6 attempts instead of 20.
Bug Fixes
- AR Report error when date range was set to "all": This is now fixed.
- Date field displaying incorrect format: The Date field now displays as mm-dd-yyyy.
- Custom Fee checklist item not appearing when offline payment method was selected: The form checklist item should now be marked as completed, and the custom fee checklist item should be appearing for the admin to mark payment as received, so that they can enter the amount and the account it should be assigned to on the ledger.
- Recent Activity permissions filter/selection not retained after page refresh: This is now fixed.
- Bulk email with large images caused delayed job failure: Bulk emails with images larger than 2MBs will now successfully send.
- 1-day discrepancy between the date selected on the calendar and the date shown in the automated confirmation email: This is now fixed.
