Enrollment Software Update: July 15, 2026

With summer underway and schools preparing for the next enrollment cycle, we've stayed busy shipping new capabilities and resolving issues across the platform. This update expands our External API, brings new flexibility to Finalsite Explore, expands our Leadflow integration between your Finalsite website and enrollment, and delivers a healthy batch of fixes across payments, search, and admissions.

What's New

  • Leadflow between one CMS site and many EMS sites — Previously, each CMS site could send leads to only one designated EMS site. Now a single CMS site can route leads to multiple EMS sites. Internal teams configure the available subdomains, and admins select the destination EMS subdomain when building a form (one form per campus). Existing setups continue to work unchanged.
Note: If you run into any issues, check out our Troubleshooting guide.
  • Finalsite Explore updates — Groups that want to use Explore purely as a school directory can now turn the login button off entirely. This is helpful when families aren't meant to log in, apply, or enroll from Explore itself. Also, we’ve added address support for global locations, and a new option for parents to search by school name.
  • Canadian tax statements — Schools in Canada can now download yearly tax statements. They appear as "Yearly Payment Summary" in both the interface and the downloaded files.
  • Extended External API — Schools leveraging our External API to grab system data for use externally now have access to:
    • Calendar appointments
    • Uploaded files
    • Forms (csv or pdf)
    • Student Photos
    • Checklist items and completion dates

You can find more information about the API, including Swagger documentation, under Settings > Fields & Data > External API Documentation.

Improvements

  • Automatic File Renaming (optional)  —  You now have an option set under Settings > Basic to automatically rename files uploaded to checklist items by parents. You can also rename existing files in the system. The naming convention is LastName_FirstName_ChecklistItem_Term.
  • Billing email visibility — Billing emails now carry the Financial permission by default (editable in templates). Admins without that permission no longer see billing emails in Recent Activity, though the emails still appear in Sent Emails with the message hidden.
  • Cleaning up incorrect Households — Anyone can be removed. Previously there were limitations on the primary parent and contact. Now, any member from a household can be removed. If primary contact(s) are removed and they have a secondary household, that will become their primary. If there is no secondary household, their record will not include a household.

Bug Fixes

  • Admin impersonation and ACH/ACSS payments — ACH/ACSS payment options are now hidden from admins while impersonating a parent.
  • Reader and Reader Scores reports — These reports now update correctly when candidates are removed from a reader. Hovering a cell shows the first 10 assigned students, and the totals link to a filtered candidate view with the correct reviewer.
  • Special characters in email addresses — Email addresses containing special characters (! # $ % & ' * + - / = ? ^ _ ` { | } ~) are no longer blocked.
  • Saved search sorting across terms — Changing the term while running a search no longer sorts results based on answers from a previous term.
  • Stripe microdeposits — Resolved an increase in Stripe requesting microdeposits during the payment flow. The fix is now permanently in place.
  • Autopay bank account saving — Fixed an issue where new banking information couldn't be saved for autopay, which mainly affected newly onboarded schools.
  • Canadian locale with US date format — Selecting "Canada – US Date Format" under Basic Settings no longer causes display errors and can now be applied safely.
  • Appointment slot display — Days with more than five appointment slots now show a scroll bar so all slots are reachable. A longer-term calendar update is on the way.
  • Emoji support in emails — New and recent-activity emails now support additional emojis.
  • Autopay method protected on one-time payments — When a parent already has an autopay method, the "Save this Payment Method" and "Enable Autopay" checkboxes on an ad-hoc payment are now optional rather than forced, so a one-time payment method no longer overrides the existing autopay default.
