Enrollment Software Update: March 3, 2026
Anna Karadzhova
This month’s updates to the Enrollment Management System (EMS) focus on streamlining the administrative login experience, strengthening data security, and fixing critical bugs to unblock administrative work during the busy admissions & enrollment season.
What’s New
- Connected SSO: We are introducing the first phase of an enhanced Single Sign-On (SSO) experience specifically for school administrators. This update simplifies the login process by allowing staff to access the administrative side of the platform using standardized credentials across Finalsite products. The new experience also provides enhanced security, including more complex password requirements and required enrollment in two-factor authentication. This initiative lays the groundwork for more centralized account management, reducing login friction for your internal teams. It will be rolled out to all current clients over the next 2-8 weeks.
- Expanded International Date Formatting: Canadian schools can now choose between DD/MM/YYYY or MM/DD/YYYY formats for liquid date fields (by choosing a Canada - US locale or Canada - EUR locale), ensuring consistency with local standards.
- Improved Payment Plan Logic: The system now automatically adjusts the final installment of a payment plan to ensure it totals exactly 100% of the remaining balance, maintaining long decimal support for high precision. This feature is available both when creating/editing a payment plan and when rearranging installments on parent ledgers and schedules.
Bug Fixes
- Payment Receipt Localization: Payment receipts for schools based outside of the US now show the correct local currency symbol to align with local standards and parent expectations.
- Payment Processing: Resolved an issue where preauthorized debits (ACSS) from Canadian accounts were unable to process via Stripe on the first attempt.
- Flexible Contract Management: Administrators can now countersign contracts even if the associated payment plan was deactivated after the contract was generated, preventing administrative bottlenecks.
- Billing Export Consistency: The
PaymentDatefield now utilizes the same formatting as theReceiptDate, providing cleaner data for business office exports. - System Performance: Optimized the auto-generation of ID fields to prevent system delays when importing high volumes of applications.
- Clarity Integration: The Clarity API Secret is now viewable by superadmins at any time for easier third-party integration management.
- Data Security: Implemented stricter validation on name fields for Parent Portal accounts to prevent the entry of unauthorized or malicious links.
- User Interface: Fixed a display issue where the administrative impersonation banner would overlap and hide functional modals.
- Automated Communications: Corrected a synchronization issue to ensure automated communication plans trigger immediately upon a status change or specific criteria being met.
- Contract Navigation: Resolved a "double-rendering" error that occurred when users utilized the "previous" button during the contract review process.
- Reporting & Filters: Fixed an "Oops!" error message triggered when applying specific filters within Reader Score Reports.
- Email Templates: Resolved an issue where document request "Reminder" and "Saved" emails were reverting to system defaults instead of using custom templates.
- Calendar & Checklists: Fixed a limitation that prevented administrators from backdating checklist items when parents scheduled appointments through the calendar.
- Search & Reports - Group View: Corrected a behavior in grouped lists where search results were incorrectly split into multiple groups.
- Form Editor: Fixed an issue in the Advanced Form Editor that prevented the addition of a second field dependency.
