Recent updates to our Enrollment Management System (EMS) include supporting individual financial awards via our Clarity integration, a more intuitive parent experience in Finalsite Explore, updates to our payment flow look & feel, and enhanced security protocols.

What’s New

• Clarity Integration - Automated Individual Awards Support: This update saves significant administrative time by automatically creating individual fields and contract fees for every award a student receives. This means if you’re using individual awards in Clarity, you’ll see them automatically reflected as separate line items in student contracts.
  • Note: If you’ve already turned on your Clarity integration and are currently only seeing totals, see this Help Article to understand how to switch to individual awards. 
• Billing - Expanded Ledger Reports: Student and Parent IDs are now included as dedicated columns in both the UI and exported Ledger Reports, ensuring accurate record matching for individuals with similar names.
• Security - Advanced Password Security Standards: We have updated parent password complexity requirements to a 12-character minimum (versus the older 8-character minimum) to ensure long-term account security.
• Payment Flow: The flow is updated for better parent experience - we now carry over the current amount due and next installment information to the payment page, making it easier for parents to determine & set the desired payment amount. The new interface not only feels fresher, but also makes it easier to choose or add new payment methods and more clearly displays convenience fee information.
• Finalsite Explore Enhancements: 
  • Navigation and Branding: Parents will now find a new "My Profile" tab in Explore to help them manage their info easily. Your school group’s logo will also now appear in every welcome email, making sure families feel a professional connection to your community from day one.
  • Streamlined Multi-Student Management: Adding additional students is now simpler with the introduction of "Add Student" buttons within both the application modals and the main profile page, replacing smaller icons for improved usability.
  • Flexible School Descriptions: The school snippet within the Explore portal is now optional, giving administrators greater control over the volume and placement of information presented to prospective families.

Bug Fixes

•  Form Versioning: Fixed a discrepancy where administrators were seeing outdated form versions while parents saw the current version; the correct term-specific form now displays for all users.
• Financial Reporting: Corrected a timezone sync error that caused payout dates in the user interface to differ from those in exported reports.
• Lead Security: Implemented new validation to block fake leads by restricting special characters in name fields and limiting inquiries to 25 per day from a single email address.
• Contract Status: Resolved a technical snag that caused some signed contracts to remain indefinitely in "Pending Countersign" status.
• Revenue Recognition: Automated a fix to ensure that updating revenue recognition dates now correctly synchronizes and validates all associated billing category dates.
• Password Reset with the new SSO experience: Resolved an issue within the new SSO workflow that was preventing admins from successfully completing password resets.
