Private School Website Inspiration: July 2025
Connor Gleason

It’s one of the busiest (and most inspiring) times of the year at Finalsite. June and July are peak months for private and independent school website launches, and this summer has delivered some of our most compelling and creative projects yet.

Many of the sites in this roundup take advantage of features like animated visuals, stylized typography, branded design treatments, and storytelling modules that put student and faculty voices front and center. Even more impressive is how each site tells its story clearly, confidently, and with purpose.

Congrats to all the schools in this launch window. You’re entering the school year with energy, clarity, and the best of what’s possible when design, strategy, and identity come together (and most likely, countless gallons of coffee…)

Joliet Catholic Academy

Joliet Catholic Academy's newly redesigned website is a fresh, compelling representation of who they are: rooted in tradition, driven by values, and committed to growth.

Right from the homepage, visitors are greeted with bold, value-centered messaging that highlights the school’s dedication to academic excellence, personalized education, and a thriving alumni network. These high-level messages flow into stories of faith and family, core pillars of the JCA experience. Each section is thoughtfully designed to show how these values come to life in classrooms, on the field, and across generations of students.

Visually, the site feels both dynamic and welcoming. Animations and floating design elements bring movement to the page, brand colors give the site a unified look, and custom-designed icons and fast facts help users quickly understand what sets JCA apart.

As shared by the school: “The new site reflects JCA’s commitment to innovation, accessibility, and providing the best possible experience for students, families, alumni, and the broader community."

"JCA partnered with Finalsite to create the new best-in-class platform, which features a modern design, intuitive navigation, mobile-friendly functionality, and improved access to important resources, including admissions, academics, athletics, arts, student life, faith, giving, and alumni updates. Visitors can now more easily find the information they need and stay connected with everything happening at JCA."

The Neighborhood Academy

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood...and for a school that's focused on removing the barriers that stand in the way of students’ futures, their new site is now working just as hard to tell that story.

From the top of the homepage, the school’s mission is front and center: shaping strong, confident leaders. That message is backed by intuitive calls to action offering visitors a chance to take a virtual tour, start an application, or learn how to get involved.

The site design feels vibrant and purposeful. Branded pops of color throughout the site bring energy to each page, while mobile-friendly CTA buttons make it easy to jump directly to important areas like admissions, the school newsletter, athletics, faculty and staff bios, and ways to support the school. Everything is designed with the user in mind.

The homepage experience wraps up with quick-hit fast facts, upcoming events, student highlights, and a look into campus life through social media posts, inviting the entire community to engage and follow.

Congratulations to The Neighborhood on a successful launch!

The IDEAL School of Manhattan

The IDEAL School of Manhattan—the only K-12 independent inclusion school in NYC—has launched a beautifully reimagined website that reflects its core values: inclusion, belonging, and academic excellence.

As the school kicks off its 20th anniversary year, this new site helps tell the story of what makes IDEAL so… well, ideal. From the homepage, you’re welcomed into a warm, diverse community built on the foundation of inclusive education, where students of all abilities learn and grow together.

One of the most thoughtful design choices is the building block motif. It’s a subtle visual metaphor for the way IDEAL assembles its program—piece by piece—to support the development of strong, confident learners. That theme carries through with angled content panels, vibrant branded colors, and photo treatments that help joyful moments leap off the page.

The site is packed with helpful features for prospective and current families. Clear navigation and well-organized interior pages (complete with accordion panels for detailed content) make it easy to understand IDEAL’s approach. The homepage also highlights fast facts, family testimonials, and plenty of big, happy group photos that capture the spirit and culture of the community.

A standout feature is the dynamic news and social media panel, which keeps content fresh and shows just how active and engaged the IDEAL community is, both in and out of the classroom. With this redesign, IDEAL has a powerful platform to celebrate its 20th anniversary with pride and help families understand the difference an inclusive experience can make.

River Oaks Baptist School (ROBS) has introduced a newly redesigned website that mirrors ambitious academics paired with strong Christian values. For 70 years, ROBS has stood apart in Houston, and now its digital presence fully supports that legacy.

From the first scroll, the website quietly guides visitors through a narrative of growth, purpose, and community. A subtle design element gently leads users down the page, introducing them to the school’s divisions, its compelling mission, and what makes a ROBS education distinctive. Voices from the ROBS community, key fast facts, and social media snapshots round out the homepage to create a well-balanced, people-centered experience.

Visually, the site is warm and welcoming. Rounded image treatments and a soft but distinctive color palette capture the school’s identity: professional but approachable. Its navigation is intuitive, and it's easy to explore core areas like School Life, About ROBS, and Academics to paint a complete picture of what it means to be a part of the ROBS community.

The new website tells that story beautifully, starting with a homepage that anchors users in the school’s legacy. A historical slideshow outlines key milestones dating back to the early 1900s, setting the stage for what makes this school so enduring.

The homepage also introduces Park Tudor’s four distinct divisions—from early education through upper school—making it easy for prospective families to explore the full journey from Pre-K through grade 12. Washington Episcopal School

Washington Episcopal School has launched a new website that beautifully shares the energy, purpose, and heart behind its mission: preparing students to thrive anywhere in the world—starting right at WES.

The opening message, "First here, Then Anywhere," is a theme that’s carried throughout the site in both content and design. As users scroll, they follow the journey of a WES student, from early childhood to middle school, and beyond to places like France, Italy, Spain, and Utah. These global learning opportunities show the school’s commitment to immersive, hands-on education that continues outside the classroom.

There’s a clever use of animated elements, like dragon footprints that wander across the page, playful squiggly lines, leafy vines, and expressive typography. These subtle details nod to the school brand while reinforcing a sense of movement, discovery, and youthful adventure. It’s not only visually engaging but also helps tell the story of a community that’s always growing and always going somewhere.

The “Dragon Journey” comes to life as visitors explore each division with ease, learn about student life, and see how the values of confidence, leadership, and preparedness are nurtured across every grade. And importantly, the mobile experience is equally strong, so parents and prospective families can get a full picture no matter how they browse.

With its balance of whimsy and wisdom, this new website invites visitors to experience the momentum of a school community that believes in the potential of its students.

Subiaco Academy & Abbey

Subiaco Academy and Subiaco Abbey have launched two distinct spaces united by a common foundation of faith, tradition, and purpose. While each site serves a unique audience, together they represent the spiritual and academic life that defines this Benedictine community.

At Subiaco Academy, a Catholic all-boys boarding and day school serving grades 7–12, the new site brings to life the school’s vision for faith-driven education. Nestled in Arkansas’s scenic River Valley, the campus spans +1,500 acres (Yes, that’s correct), and the site feels just as expansive, full of stories that define the student experience.

The homepage introduces visitors to the four pillars of value that guide life at the Academy: faith, scholarship, character, and brotherhood. These core themes are carried throughout the site with vibrant visuals and storytelling. The “Men of Impact” section is a standout, sharing testimonials from students and alumni who embody what it means to live the Subiaco mission.

Subiaco describes the Academy’s new site as “Bold, modern, and built to reflect the spirit of Subiaco Academy,” and that’s just what it delivers—an experience as rooted and purposeful as the campus itself.

Groton School

Groton School’s new website is not only visually stunning, but it also beautifully captures the school’s identity, values, and sense of place. As someone who has visited the Groton campus in person, I can say: this site does it justice.

From the moment you land on the homepage, you’re welcomed to the Circle—a reference not only to the school’s campus layout, but also to the inclusive and deeply connected community it represents. This theme is woven throughout the site as a metaphor for belonging, tradition, and growth.

Groton leans confidently into what sets it apart: its size and the unmatched strength of its programs. But it also addresses something that some schools shy away from—affordability and accessibility. Early on, the site introduces Groton’s commitment to inclusion and financial aid, making it clear that this is a place where family, scholarship, and opportunity converge.

Standout Features:

  • Custom timelines on Groton’s history page are a powerful way to tell the school’s story across generations
  • Full video hero buttons on pages like admission overview bring movement and emotion to the forefront
  • Full-width photo containers let imagery speak for itself
  • Side-by-Side Cards organize academic content in a clear, digestible format
  • Custom Post Constituent treatments on alumni pages give structure and polish to content by and for the Groton community

The site also makes strong use of content to give users a window into life on campus. “Zebra Tales,” a section featuring authentic student voices, highlights the day-to-day moments that make Groton special—from classes and clubs to life in the dorms. And the “News and Views” section keeps the entire Circle connected with stories from all corners of campus life.

Groton’s new website works as an invitation into something lasting. It shows the traditions of the past, the momentum of the present, and a future that’s wide open. The Groton Circle is expanding, and this new site makes it easier than ever to step inside.

Paideia School

Paideia School has launched a new website that’s anything but conventional—and that’s exactly the point. With a homepage headline that reads “Unapologetically, Curiouser,” it sets the tone for an experience that’s confident, creative, and unmistakably Paideia.

A subtle (and sometimes not-so-subtle) animated snake slithers into view, doubling as both mascot and metaphor. Winding its way through page sections, the snake cleverly helps divide content areas, echoing the journey students take through discovery, connection, and growth.

The site is full of thoughtful design choices that bring the Paideia experience to life:

  • Authentic connections between students and teachers
  • A joyful, intentional community
  • A daily adventure, whether it’s a small classroom moment or a big student-led project

Design Highlights & Enhancements:

  • Full-width pattern containers bring texture and movement across long scroll pages
  • “Squeeze” hero image layout is a creative take on interior page headers
  • Snake-themed lead-in text feels both intentional and fun
  • Photo layout enhancements showcase student life with energy and impact
  • Interactive image buttons invite users to dive deeper into key areas like experiential learning

Its design decisions seem rooted in Paideia’s core values—curiosity, creativity, and connection. The site’s interior pages carry that energy forward, especially on pages like the Framework of Values and Student Experience, which use bold photography, textured content blocks, and warm, bright colors to keep users engaged.

Most importantly, the site knows who it is. It’s fun, fresh, and full of personality—mirroring the energy of a school where every day brings a new opportunity to explore, question, and connect. It’s a celebration of the Paideia journey, and an open invitation to get “curiouser.”

Garrison Forest School

Garrison Forest School’s new website supports and empowers girls and young women through every step of their educational journey. From the very first animation, which gently pulls visitors through the trees and into the heart of the campus, the message is clear: Welcome to the Forest.

As a K–12 all-girls program rooted in purpose, GFS uses its website to highlight how girls grow, thrive, and discover their paths through a thoughtful blend of academics, arts, athletics, and lifelong relationships. Dotted path lines and scroll-triggered animations guide users through divisions, campus life, and student profiles, serving the motif of movement, discovery, and growth.

Design Highlights & Interactive Features:

Profiles of current students and alumnae share stories in everything from the sciences to equestrian sports and dance. These stories, paired with textured visuals and vibrant photography, build an emotional connection that makes it clear that GFS is a place where every girl walks her own path.

The admissions page is particularly strong, clearly outlining the benefits of an all-girls education, along with practical resources like tuition, financial aid, and the application process. Calls to action—start your journey, visit campus, learn more—are confidently placed throughout the site, making next steps feel natural and supportive.

To top it off, a slide-out panel shares recent news and social media updates, keeping content fresh and community-focused. And with Weglot integration, the entire site can be translated with one click, supporting a multilingual audience and creating a more inclusive user experience. A beautiful job, start to finish!
