Private School Website Inspiration: May 2026
Connor Gleason

May is one of the busiest months on any school calendar, but these website launches prove that even during a packed season, teams are finding new, meaningful ways to share their school's story.

This latest batch of Finalsite's site launches brings together a wide range of stories: A prep school in the Surrey countryside, a Montessori school in California, an international school in Zurich...they can all offer the layout, content, or storytelling inspiration your own team's been looking for.

Each site takes a slightly different approach, but they all show how thoughtful design, UX, and branding can communicate their mission with more energy and purpose. As you explore for yourself, pay attention to three areas:

  • Content: How does the story build from the hero section, down to the footer? What does each school choose to highlight first, and how do testimonials, stats, news, events, and language support that story?

  • User experience: How quickly can visitors find content like admissions, programs, membership, events, calendars, contact information, or community resources?

  • Design: Which elements repeat across the site? How do those choices keep the experience engaging, organized, and easy to use on mobile?

There's a lot to review—find your inspiration below!

ICS Inter-Community School Zurich

ICS Inter-Community School Zurich greets visitors with the phrase “Welcome to the journey,” and it's full of personality, thanks to its bold brand elements, rounded graphics, layered content blocks, and a strong color palette. The new site is an immersive, colorful, and energetic experience.

  • Pops of red, purple, blue, and other secondary colors add a lot of creative flair throughout the layout, while animations bring movement and interactivity to the calls to action, content features, and key storytelling moments.

  • Check out the Strategic Directions section, which uses a horizontal scroll and pop-ups to guide visitors through the school’s priorities in a more engaging way.

  • What really comes through is a strong sense of community. The site gives visitors a meaningful look at what makes ICS Zurich distinct (International Baccalaureate results, student clubs, a diverse community of students from more than 50 nationalities and 70 languages).

The content feels rich, intentional, and easy to explore: Landing pages for Admissions, Learning, Community, and World each bring their own mix of color, motion, photography, and storytelling.

The site uses timeline-style slideshows, featured news, spotlight content, and custom cards to introduce the school’s history, academic approach, community life, and student experience. It’s a beautiful, dynamic website that showcases the journey students take through their academics, but it's clear they learn so much more about belonging, leadership, and global connection. Congrats!

NESA: Near East South Asia Council of Overseas Schools

NESA, the Near East South Asia Council of Overseas Schools, is live with a new website, and while NESA is not a brick-and-mortar school in the traditional sense, it still serves a vital role in education as a community for schools, educators, leaders, and organizations connected by a shared commitment.

The new site reflects that mission with a resource-rich experience centered on professional growth, collaboration, school transformation, and student well-being. There's a lot to explore:

  • The site makes it easy to understand who NESA serves and how visitors can engage: Dedicated user experiences for schools, organization membership, leadership, educators, and learning opportunities help different audiences quickly find the content most relevant to them.

  • Recent news from the field, student opportunities, learning programs, and community updates add depth to the experience and make the site an active hub of resources.

  • Design-wise, shades of purple and blue create a cohesive visual identity, while compass-inspired elements and web-like graphics show a sense of connection, direction, and shared purpose.

Don’t skip the interactive menu at the bottom of the homepage, which invites visitors to explore NESA’s member schools and the cities connected to its network. It’s a creative, custom element that turns a directory-style concept into something much more engaging and makes the community's size and strength easier to understand.

Aldro School

Aldro School, about 30 miles southwest of London, is live with a new website that captures the warmth, tradition, and energy of a school founded in 1898.

A video montage introduces the Aldro experience through moments of school life, giving visitors an immediate idea of the care, activity, and community that define the school. The visuals are paired with beautiful illustrations woven throughout the design for a sense of heritage and charm.

That balance between tradition and warmth comes through across the site. Aldro’s Christian foundation, pastoral care, and commitment to educating each child are shown in both the content and the user experience.

As the Headmaster’s welcome shares, “If children are to thrive at school, they must first feel happy.” The new site brings that idea to life by representing a school where pupils are supported, known, and encouraged to grow in confidence. Lovely!

The homepage guides visitors through The Aldro Difference, highlighting themes of aspiration, opportunity, resilience, and a “community away from home.” These sections sway families to take the next step toward attending an open morning, arranging a visit, connecting with admissions, or learning more about school life.

The design details carry through beautifully on the interior pages. Full-width callout text, custom content blocks, branded line dividers using the school seal, and soft primary and secondary colors give the pages a polished, consistent feel. Buttons and calls-to-action are easy to spot, and the expanded navigation near the footer uses illustrations to add a creative, memorable touch.

It's a site that's rooted in tradition, shaped by care, and focused on helping pupils feel ready for what comes next.

St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic School

St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic School is live with a new site that brings heart, mission, and school spirit together—and with a mascot like the Tornados, it has plenty of energy to build on!

The school’s mission and Catholic identity are woven throughout the design, from the use of the school seal and logo as graphic elements to the placement of mission-driven content across the homepage and interior pages.

The site does a great job of helping families understand what makes St. Thomas the Apostle distinct: Small class sizes, after-school clubs, arts, faith formation, and a close-knit community all help shape the story.

The experience also extends to the church. Visitors can explore the parish side of the site, which welcomes them into a vibrant Catholic parish in Miami, Florida. The church site carries a similar design system and structure, but the content is tailored to parish life, services, ministries, and community resources.

That shared approach is a major strength. With a custom landing page that lets visitors choose between the School and Church, plus a cloned site structure adapted for the parish, both now have a more connected web presence and share a consistent, mission-centered identity.

Union Presbyterian Seminary

Union Presbyterian Seminary brings its mission, academic programs, community, and student experience together in a thoughtful and easy-to-navigate new site.

The mission of transformative change is felt throughout the homepage and interior pages with community stories and resources to help prospective students explore concentrations and opportunities.

The site benefited from Finalsite Advantage support, and that care comes through in the way Union Presbyterian Seminary shares who they are, what they offer, and the kind of leaders they help form.

The design includes several standout elements worth exploring, including animated resource elements, full-width cards, “By the Numbers” content, alternate hero layouts, testimonials, image buttons, and events powered through Posts. Each element adds movement, depth, or clarity to the user experience while supporting the seminary's broader story.

Be sure to check out:

  • Academic programs to explore the range of degrees and concentrations.
  • The expandable menu that uses custom imagery to create a transition into deeper content, making a large site feel more inviting and easier to explore.

  • The homepage presents nicely on mobile, including the embedded newsletter subscription near the footer, to give visitors an easy way to stay connected.

Congratulations on a strong launch!

St. Helena Montessori School

St. Helena Montessori School is a great example of how a smaller-scoped site can still feel full of character, creativity, spirit, and heart.

The site uses beautifully branded video and imagery to bring the school’s mission to life. The design feels warm and intentional, giving families context for their Montessori experience and the learning community behind it.

The homepage creates several easy entry points into St. Helena Montessori’s programs serving children from 12 months through age 18. Families can quickly explore each stage, and the slimmed-down navigation keeps the experience intuitive.

  • The design makes great use of brand color and custom elements, while secondary colors help imagery pop off the page.
  • Animated text adds movement and energy to key storytelling moments, as animated cards spotlight voices from alumni, parents, and educational experts in a click-through slideshow, adding more credibility and warmth to the St. Helena story.

There’s also thoughtful content work across the interior pages:

  • Course content uses Posts and visually engaging brand colors, while custom panels help present program details in a clean, easy-to-scan format.
  • The slider also adds a strong visual layer to the adolescent program experience, helping show where students are headed next.

Congratulations to St. Helena and all the schools on their site launches with Finalsite!
