School District Website Inspiration: April 2026
Connor Gleason

April’s latest batch of school district website launches shows the power of what purposeful design, creative content, and intuitive navigation can do. Each of these new sites brings something a little different to the table, like bold photography and helpful resources, creative storytelling and community-focused content, or a great mobile experience that invites users to engage.

It's a busy time of year—kudos to the teams behind these launches for creating site experiences that celebrate what's happening across their schools, and help families become more connected to their district.

Here’s the latest round of district launches from Finalsite—find your inspiration below!

School District of La Crosse

The School District of La Crosse’s new website balances district storytelling with easy access to the resources families need most—a nice combination of the inspirational and practical. The homepage opens with a montage from across the district, Board of Education information, and the impact of staff, while quick links to calendars, menus, and the SIS make the most of high-use resources.

The site’s messaging and design also help bring the brand to life.

  • Headlines, key dates, secondary brand colors, and a strong message around “dream, believe, achieve” give a sense of an active, connected district.

  • Social integrations, including YouTube feeds for Board of Education meetings, add another helpful layer for families and community members.

As shared by the district, “Our goal was to create a more modern, accessible, and user-friendly experience for our students, families, and staff.” Mission accomplished!

Everett School District

Everett School District’s new website gives families, students, staff, and community members a clean, organized way to explore the district across its 30+ sites. The homepage opens with a lively video montage of students learning, heading to class, celebrating athletics, performing music, and graduating, all paired with calls to action for enrollment, IB program information, and updates on how tax dollars are being put to use.

There's more to take in:

  • Well-organized sections for academics, arts and music, social-emotional support, STEM, career and technical education, and more help tell a story about student opportunity and highlight key district programs.

  • The interior pages carry that same thoughtful structure. The community page uses expanding accordions, content blocks, and focused calls to action to help visitors navigate the information, while the employment page’s content shares more about the district's job openings and the application process.

  • Design complements the content, as news, events, and calendar links help families stay connected, while the mountains in the footer area tie the site back to Everett’s beautiful Washington setting.

Its design features and resources for families, students, community members, and prospective employees make the new site a great opportunity for sharing its story while serving its schools.

Bend-La Pine Schools

Strong photography and thoughtful messaging create a warm, engaging experience for Bend-La Pine Schools’ new website. Headlines focused on relationships and connections, wellness and belonging, and passion and purpose pair well with images of students and staff, helping visitors understand the district’s values and sense of community.

  • The homepage brings together news, events, social media updates, videos, fast facts, and key resources in one organized place.

  • Sticky calls to action make it easy to enroll, engage, or explore careers, while the Find It Fast feature helps parents, students, and community members jump to the information they need.

With consistent branding across school sites, clear navigation, and built-in translation through Weglot, Bend-La Pine Schools now has a site that supports families and strengthens community connection. Wonderful job!

St. Louis Park Public Schools

St. Louis Park Public Schools’ new website makes an energetic first impression and quickly directs families to one of the most important next steps: Enrollment.

Supported by a hero video montage that highlights students learning, growing, and getting involved across the district, a helpful resource bar makes it easy to find calendars, menus, transportation, athletics, career opportunities, and other information.

One of the standout features is the testimonial section. Quotes and videos from alumni share stories about their time in St. Louis Park Public Schools, adding warmth from the people who were formed by their time in the district.

The navigation is simple and focused, with four main areas: Who We Are, Learning, Resources, and Get Involved. Each section opens into a well-organized nav menu, paired with headlines and thumbnail graphics that make the content easier to scan and keep the site from feeling crowded.

Interior pages continue that approach. For content-heavy areas, tabs help organize details into smaller sections, making pages easier to read, while the district’s secondary colors add a bit of flair to the buttons, guiding visitors to the next step.

It’s an easy-to-use site that supports families while celebrating the people and experiences that shape the SLP community.

Milwaukee Recreation

Milwaukee Recreation’s new website gives the community a welcoming, organized place to explore affordable programs, activities, and resources. As a department of Milwaukee Public Schools, the site highlights its role in building stronger community connections, from youth programs and competitive swim teams to stories about inclusive experiences, inspiring coaches, ski and snowboarding clubs, and upcoming events.

  • The homepage brings together program highlights, registration links, community stories, Instagram updates, and an “at-a-glance” section that showcases more than 1,200 enrichment activities offered each season and 50-plus playfields across Milwaukee.

  • A slideshow also connects the department’s history with its future, including new community centers, enrichment programs, and after-school opportunities.

  • With AudioEye accessibility tools built in, the site gives more families and community members a better way to find programs, get involved, and see the impact of Milwaukee Recreation.

Atlas Public Schools

Atlas Public Schools’ new website brings the school to life with color, movement, and a strong sense of personality. Bright secondary colors, playful doodles, squiggly lines, custom typography, and animated hover states give the site a youthful feel that matches the school’s focus on curiosity, joyful learning, strong relationships, and experiences beyond the classroom.

The homepage gives families a helpful overview of Atlas while making the next steps easy to find, with sticky calls to action to inquire, apply, and give. Atlas also connects families to Finalsite Enrollment to learn more, attend an open house, request information, or schedule a tour. It's a smart way to connect the branded website experience with the start of the enrollment journey for families.

Meanwhile, a custom social feed, fast facts, staff directory with profile pages, and a creative tabbed schedule on the interior pages carry the same creative strategy. It’s a lovely site full of fun fonts and playful design details that give families a better sense of what makes the school community special.

To Atlas and all the other sites, congrats on the launches!
