School District Website Inspiration: January 2026
Connor Gleason

These district launches are starting the year on a high note! The latest round of site inspiration showcases Perth Amboy Public Schools and Clark County School District, both of which kicked off 2026 with websites built for timely announcements, storytelling, and easy access to high-demand resources for families, staff, and the broader community.

What’s exciting is how each site balances long-term goals with daily usability. Perth Amboy’s homepage highlights district life and key updates while keeping essentials like logins, registration, and the calendar close at hand.

CCSD pairs a flexible homepage for major campaigns with a dashboard-style set of shortcuts for tasks like enrollment, transportation, zoning, and calendars—exactly what a large district community relies on.

There's a lot to explore — check out each site and find your inspiration below!

A large crowd of people, many wearing red and white uniforms, gathered in a gymnasium-like setting, with banners and flags displayed prominently.

Perth Amboy Public Schools

Perth Amboy Public Schools kicked off its new district site with a homepageand hero slideshow that sets the stage with a mix of district messaging and student moments, everything from celebrations and athletics to classroom life.

A homepage built for quick decisions

Right beneath the hero, the site uses big, tappable icons and tiles to send visitors where they often go first: the district mobile app, Visual and Performing Arts, Athletics, and District Operations. That mobile-friendly layout works well for their audience because it reduces the guesswork and supports browsing on the go.

News, announcements, and the calendar stay close at hand

As you scroll, the homepage keeps key updates flowing through “Latest News” and a dedicated announcements area, including links to items like the district calendar and other district-wide messages.

Then it lands on an Upcoming Events section that brings district dates front and center (with just one click to the full calendar).

The “need it now” links are exactly where families look for them, and one of the most helpful parts of this launch is the homepage’s access to things families and staff need every day, all year:

  • Parent portal login
  • Central registration
  • Code of Student Conduct
  • Online lunch application
  • District webmail

Welcoming experience for more families

  • The header includes a language selector through Weglot, making it easier for Spanish-speaking families to access district information from the start.

  • The main navigation makes it simple to jump into the parts of the site that tend to drive the most traffic: Departments, Curriculum, Athletics, and Board of Education.

  • There’s also an “Our Schools” entry point with a full list of school sites, which helps families move between the district hub and individual buildings with ease.

Congrats to Perth Amboy on a strong launch. It's the kind of experience that supports communications, engagement, and daily operations all in one place.

Clark County School District

Clark County School District’s January launch had a very big job: serve a massive, fast-moving community with one hub that works for families, staff, and the public.

As shared by the district, “We know that CCSD.net is an important resource for our community, so we’ve streamlined over 300,000 pages into a cleaner, more user-friendly experience.”

CCSD frames that scale on its About page, noting it serves 289,000 students as the nation’s fifth-largest school district and offers programs including Magnet Schools, Career and Technical Academies, and Advanced Placement.

Despite its size, the homepage hero slideshow feels designed to help people connect. It can quickly rotate to promote time-sensitive messages and community moments, including Black History Month, CTE/Magnet Month, and National School Counseling Week, alongside broader updates like Superintendent Ebert’s roadmap and opportunities for feedback.

Right after the hero, a row of icons turns the homepage into a one-click launchpad for high-demand resources like Open Enrollment, Transportation, Zoning, Calendars, the Newsroom, and more.

Visitors are welcomed into “The Destination District” framework and then briefed on what that goal looks like for students, staff, and community stakeholders. It also connects that message to Superintendent Ebert’s 100-day plan progress.

CCSD also treats the district’s podcast as an important part of the communications mix. Tune in and subscribe to hear Superintendent Ebert share the latest news, celebrate achievements, and highlight resources for the community.

There's a lot to explore:

  • A newsroom feed and one-click social sharing are paired with each story, helping communications teams amplify good news across the community.

  • A dedicated Board Meetings section highlights the upcoming meetings in a calendar-style list with “Read More” links and a path to meeting info and live stream information.

Enroll pages & resources for families

  • The Enroll section clearly lays out the grade/age entry requirements, links to the zoned school search, supports online registration, and details all the required documents.

  • The top utility navigation keeps Enroll, Parents, and Students front and center. When you open the menu, it expands to quick access to essentials such as Calendars, Directory, Get Involved, Careers, and more. These resources are helpful because most visitors arrive with a task or question, and they're ready when needed.

As the district rolls out its individual school site experience, the consistencyand look and feel of each site will help families as they move between district and building sites without feeling like they’ve entered a different system.

Congrats on the massive launch and the start of something special!
