School District Website Inspiration: March 2026
Connor Gleason

March may come in like a lion and go out like a lamb, but the momentum behind public school website launches hasn’t let up.

After a high-energy February, this month has felt a little quieter by comparison. Even so, districts are still creating websites with stronger design, clearer content, and more thoughtful user experiences for the communities they serve.

Find your inspiration below!

Napa Valley Unified School District

Napa Valley Unified School District’s new website creates a strong first impression by putting district pride, helpful resources, and community storytelling at the center of the experience. The homepage opens with a montage slideshow of moments from across the district, giving visitors an immediate sense of student life, learning, and community.

The homepage also does a great job of communicating the district’s direction and values through tabbed content that highlights its vision, mission, values, and strategic plan.

Users have the option to watch the full video for another layer of storytelling, but one of the homepage’s biggest strengths is how quickly it connects families to the information they need most:

  • Fast facts and mobile-friendly icons bring key resources and stats front and center, like enrollment details, athletic information, calendars, menus, and other high-interest content.

  • Inlaid imagery and video help support those messages, too, making the content feel more engaging and easier to scan. A vertical scrolling section focused on why students choose NVUSD adds another strong storytelling element, using iconography and mobile-friendly design to make the content easy to browse across devices.

  • Another standout feature is the full-width map of schools across the district for families to get a sense of where campuses and facilities are located throughout the Napa area, while also reinforcing the district’s scope and presence in the community.

  • News updates and Instagram posts help round out the homepage by showing recent activity across the district and keeping the site feeling current and active.

On the interior pages, the site stays organized and easy to navigate thanks to tabbed elements that are used throughout the site, especially on leadership pages, where users can explore information about the superintendent, instructional services, human resources, and other district offices.

  • The enrollment page is another example of thoughtful organization, clearly laying out each step families need to follow to join the district–some great video, too!

  • And kudos for calling out what’s new for users returning to the site and expecting the old experience! They’ve shared the highlights, along with links to some of its most popular resources, such as information on enrollment, programs, and partnerships.

As shared by the district: “This updated design provides a more intuitive, user-friendly experience for our families, staff, and community partners."

Amazing job!

Castleberry ISD

Castleberry ISD’s new website makes a strong case for the district from the start. With the tagline “Inspire, Empower, Innovate” leading the way, the site quickly communicates Castleberry’s mission to help students grow into innovative thinkers while making it easier for families to see why the district stands out.

The homepage leans into enrollment in a smart, confident way, spotlighting programs that matter most to families, from free full-day Pre-K and the Leadership Academy to its nationally ranked fine arts program and other standout opportunities across the district.

The site also does a nice job of keeping that message active and engaging.

  • News and events bring fresh updates from across the district to the forefront, while a branded calendar helps families keep track of important dates and district happenings.

  • The site feels inviting, with rounded content blocks, light blue CTAs, and custom styling that gives the district a more cohesive look and stronger identity—that look and feel carries through its individual school sites just as well.

  • On the enrollment page, families are given direct paths to start the process while continuing to learn what sets Castleberry apart. On the careers page, that same approach helps prospective employees see the value of joining the district, with content that speaks to both culture and opportunity.

Altogether, Castleberry ISD’s new website gives the district a stronger platform to tell its story, support enrollment, and connect with families and staff in a way that feels organized, welcoming, and clear.

Congrats on the launches and the start of something special!
