School District Website Inspiration: November 2025
Connor Gleason

This month’s collection of new district websites shows the same qualities we see in great school communities: strong leadership, clear communication, and a firm commitment to families.

From the lakeshore in Wisconsin to the suburbs of Chicago and the neighborhoods of Cleveland, these districts are using beautiful design, meaningful content, and thoughtful navigation to make it easier for visitors to find what they need and engage.

And this month’s launches have something else in common: they’re rooted in identity. Like San Benito CISD’s branding, Cleveland’s creative storytelling, or New Trier’s blend of tradition and innovation, each site tells a story to better serve its students, staff, and families.

If you’re looking to refresh your own school’s digital presence or simply want inspiration from other districts that’ve launched accessible, custom websites, these are certainly worth a look!

Sheboygan Area School District

Serving more than 9,500 students across 26 schools, Sheboygan Area School District (SASD) now has a vibrant new website that supports its mission to inspire learning and prepare every student for success.

Its homepage sets a warm and welcoming tone: “Bright futures begin here.” A colorful palette of magentas, purples, and blues reinforces SASD’s brand while guiding users through a thoughtfully organized layout.

Fast facts highlight the district's scope—with more than 1,400 staff members supporting student growth—and dynamic news and events sections keep families connected to what’s happening across the 20+ schools.

A calendar integration shows key upcoming dates, including Board of Education meetings and committee sessions, helping families and community members stay informed. The content that follows introduces the district’s programs and services, with messaging centered on opportunity, choice, and diversity, all anchored by a welcoming note from the superintendent and a collection of video testimonials from staff, parents, and school leaders.

The site’s interior pages carry that same level of thoughtfulness for a prospective family exploring the enrollment page or a job seeker checking out career opportunities. Each section offers calls to action and consistent styling that support the broader story, and the experience is clean, accessible, and easy to navigate on any device.

Families will also appreciate the continuity across school sites. Each elementary, middle, high school, and specialty programs use a consistent layout, making it easier for users to navigate between pages while still allowing each building to maintain its own identity.

What Stands Out:

  • Strong visual identity with purposeful color choices that guide navigation
  • Fast facts and testimonials that reinforce district pride
  • Consistent site structure across school pages for a unified experience
  • Mobile-friendly design that makes finding key resources easier for everyone

Congrats to Sheboygan on a site that feels aligned, accessible, and mission-driven!

Elwood Union Free School District

Elwood Union Free School District’s newly launched site delivers a clean, intuitive experience supporting the district’s forward-looking mission and strong sense of community—a “focused future.” With modern design elements, thoughtful navigation, and an emphasis on accessibility, the new site is built to serve students, families, and staff with clarity and care.

Visitors can find what they need with quick links to high-use resources like the district calendar, student and parent portals, transportation details, lunch menus, and more. Many of these options live in the main navigation menu, icons below the hero area, AND a sticky sidebar for a variety of ways to move through the site—it's hard to get lost!

The homepage features a subtle parallax scroll effect, giving the experience a sense of movement as users explore information about the district, recent news, and at-a-glance statistics that represent Elwood’s commitment to student achievement. The school’s blue and gold bring a visual consistency across panels, buttons, and content blocks, too.

Multilingual support, powered by Weglot, offers one-click translation for users to access site content in Spanish and other languages to stay informed and engaged.

Features to Explore:

  • Clear sidebar and top-level navigation for fast access
  • Branded design with parallax scrolling and fast facts
  • News and calendar sections that highlight upcoming events
  • Seamless Weglot translation integration for more inclusive communication

Congratulations to Elwood on a site that combines simplicity, accessibility, and user-centered design.

New Trier’s website brings more than a century of educational excellence into a modern, digital experience. With a strong visual identity and intuitive layout, the site gives students, families, and community members access to the people, programs, and traditions that define the district.

The homepage opens with a full-panel video montage that captures student life and learning, from STEM labs and greenhouses to school spirit on the field and classrooms filled with creativity and energy. The site offers resources for every stage of the high school journey, including incoming 9th graders, transfer students, and each graduating class. Families can explore next steps, view key dates, and stay informed from enrollment through graduation.

A Look Back—and Forward

The entire site is worth exploring, but one standout feature is the New Trier Archives, which offers a window into the district’s beginnings in 1901. Cleveland Metropolitan School District

Cleveland Metropolitan School District’s newly launched website shows the energy, creativity, and heart of the community with a high-impact video montage of students performing music, preparing food, delivering speeches, showcasing art, and more—moments that show what learning looks like across CMSD.

Below the hero area, visitors can quickly access high-priority links like enrollment, the district calendar, transportation, menus, careers, and family resources.

A “Discover” section brings in news and events, helping visitors connect with the stories and updates shaping the district. It transitions seamlessly into one of the most powerful parts of the homepage: the student and staff profiles that highlight how CMSD is building brighter futures. Thoughtful typography, strong shapes, and rich color palettes bring a creative edge that’s both inspiring and grounded in the district’s brand identity.
