Connect 5.22.50 Release Notes: August 12, 2025

We're excited to announce enhancements to our SMS opt-in workflow, designed to streamline the process for child institutions as part of our ongoing 10DLC migration. These updates introduce a more robust and flexible way for recipients to manage their SMS communication preferences.

What’s New

For Recipients Associated with Multiple Institutions

Previously, opting into SMS alerts for multiple institutions could be a confusing process. This new workflow as described in the new article, "Subscribe to SMS messaging in Connect" is designed to provide clear and actionable choices.

  • Multiple Messages for Unique KeyCodes: When a recipient is mapped to multiple institutions (e.g., 10 institutions), the system will send a separate SMS for each one. Each message will contain the unique key code required for that specific institution.
    • Sample Message:
[KeyCode]-Connect Alerts: Your number is mapped to multiple programs. For [AbberName] reply START [KeyCode] or reply START ALL for all programs.
  • Choose All or One: You can now opt in to all programs at once by replying START ALL.
  • Opt-in for a Specific Program: To subscribe to just one institution, simply reply with START [KeyCode]. The system will then send a success message confirming your opt-in for that specific program.

For Recipients Associated with a Single Institution

The opt-in process for recipients linked to a single institution remains simple and direct.

  • Simplified Opt-In: You can still opt in by replying with the keyword START.
  • Success Confirmation: After replying, you’ll receive a success message confirming that you're opted in for that institution.

What's Unchanged

The opt-out process remains the same. Replying with STOP ALL will continue to opt you out of all institutions across the product, regardless of the sender's number.
