CMS Software Update: October 7, 2025
L Lamington
After a brief Back-to-School pause, we’re back in action with a release focused on stability, reliability, and performance—just in time for the busy school season.
This update brings critical fixes for restored resources that stayed hidden, mis-routed “Request to Send” messages, and athletics ICS feed export failures. We’ve also updated vulnerable packages and strengthened core areas like Messages, Resources, and Calendars, and delivered critical behind-the-scenes improvements to keep your sites running smooth and secure.
What’s New
- Resources: Under resources, users can now search for galleries. So no more scrolling to find your intended gallery.
Bug Fixes
- Messages: Resolved an issue where suppressed email addresses were not appearing in the suppression list. All suppressed addresses now display correctly.
- Resources: While Restored resources have historically remained hidden, after this release, a restored resource can be found in its original folder
- Resources: Resolved an issue where restored resources sometimes stayed hidden—now they return to view as expected.
- Messages: Fixed a bug where the “Request to Send” option occasionally mis-routed the request
- Messages: Fixed a bug where messages intended for specific groups were incorrectly sent to a broader audience than selected.
- Messages: Stopped unintended sends to constituents and corrected sudden bounce-rate issues to keep mailings trustworthy.
- Calendar: Fixed an issue where Athletics RSS/ICS feeds exported random events or only the current month instead of the full sporting schedule when subscribed via Calendar elements.
- Athletics: Fixed an issue where event popups failed to display address and directions link and incorrectly showed a ‘Read More’ link—now the popup output is consistent across all display types.
- Calendar: Fixed an issue where all-day events from the new Calendars appeared as “Busy” instead of “Free” when added via iCal to personal calendars.
- Calendar: Unpublished events will now stay truly unpublished: fixed a bug that exposed them to anyone subscribing to the calendar feed.
- Calendar: Removed the unintended ‘Load More Events’ option from the Slideshow calendar element, keeping it exclusive to the List view as designed.
- Resources: Resolved an issue where privacy changes made to a parent gallery did not cascade to its child galleries—child galleries now correctly inherit the parent’s updated settings.
