Software update: April 22, 2022
Lauren Lentini

Spring has sprung and our efficacious development team is at it again, squashing bugs and updating features to improve our Composer experience!

First and foremost, they’ve added the admin’s name and linked their email address in the request to publish email notification for Composer pages, so you don’t have to go on a scavenger hunt anymore just to find out more about what you’ve been asked to publish.

They’ve also been picking apart some pesky bugs with convoluted causes: In Composer, publishing a Post element in Single format with a specific post selected — but also a board — caused URLs to appear in search results for all of the other posts on that board, which redirected to a 404 page. No more! In Forms, including a percent symbol (%) in a field messed up conditional fields that were supposed to appear below it. Gotcha! And finally, if you visited Forms before you went to Posts, the source icon in the editor mysteriously disappeared. Smashed!

Read on for more details about the changes in this week’s software update.

Composer

  • When you receive a request to publish a page from an edit-only admin, their name and email address will be included in the notification message.

  • We’ve fixed an issue with the Post element that was causing inactive links to post pages to appear in search results.

Forms

  • When you delete a field on an active form, you’ll see a different warning message to make it clear that doing so will remove any results associated with that field, and in some cases prevent user notification emails from sending.

  • We’ve fixed an issue that prevented conditionals from showing up, caused by using percent symbols in a field.

Posts

  • We’ve fixed a bug that caused the source icon to occasionally disappear from the Posts body content editor.
