If you think you’re ready to skim past another summer update with a few small tweaks and bug fixes, put down that umbrella drink! Schools are back in session, and this week’s release is a big one. Our redoubtable developers have been putting together TWO new features that you’re going to love — especially if you’re a school district site.

First, we’ve added the ability to select an additional domain or domains to search in our Search element. That means, if your users are searching on a particular school’s site, they can also get results from the district site. Moreover, this element is dynamic, so it works with your Locations-powered header banner.

Next up is our biggest change to Posts since the module was introduced. If you’ve ever used two Post elements where you wanted just one, or you’ve tagged every post on one board so that you can filter in a selection of posts from another, this update is for you! The Post element settings now include a second board selection and rules section, as well as tag and featured/non-featured filtering for collections. With this added flexibility, the number of customization options is mind-boggling! Composer

• We’ve added another board selection option to the Post element, making it even easier to target posts for display from a variety of boards with multiple tag filters.

• It is now possible to use tags and featured posts to filter a collection displayed in the Post element.

• A new setting in the Search element will enable admins to select domains to search in addition to the one the user is currently searching from.

Forms

• The Israeli Shekel can now be selected as a currency option.

• We edited the default instructions for the File Upload field to make it clear that files cannot be uploaded separately in the same field.  

Messages

• We updated the “Sending Message” text to include the message name in place of "undefined."

• We’ve added tags and featured post filters to collections in the dynamic content configuration for Posts.
