King’s Academy, situated in the Jordanian countryside, is home to over 600 students representing some 40 countries with over 70% boarding at their state-of-the-art facilities. Inspired by a New England boarding school, King's Academy was founded by His Majesty King Abdullah II to provide boys and girls across the Middle East with an American-style education.
With such a unique inception and powerful vision, King’s Academy needed a suitable website to showcase its core values and aspirations — as well as drive admissions and teacher recruitment. Its stunning, best-in-class design achieves this and more!
The scrolling homepage with its strong logo and branding, immediately draws in site visitors and encourages them to learn more. The welcoming message, news and social media feeds, interactive infographics and call-to-actions tell a complete story of the school — without having to leave the homepage.
Fun facts about a school are so much more fun when they are interactive. Each box in this playful infographic turns into a button on hover, where visitors can click to learn more about the respective topics.
King's menu navigation is mobile-first, which means it optimizes the user experience for both a desktop and handheld device. Visitors can quickly access the main pages and subpages without having to click more than once. Striking photography in the navigation is just an added bonus!
Rather than deploy a full translation service, King's Academy's website has been deployed to display both English and Arabic with a simple toggle in the navigation, attending to key constituent needs.
Engaging Homepage Video
The King's Academy design does a great job incorporating spaces for video snippets. Here, "Omer, The Admissions Guy" tells a clever and funny story geared at prospective students and encourages them to apply. Below the video, there's an aptly-placed button to visit the admissions page.
When prospective families land on the admissions page, they are greeted with testimonials that the school's value, accordions outlining the step-by-step application process, videos, photography and a call-to-action.

Teachers are one of the biggest selling points of any school.
